Takeda NAS
Takeda Hamono has been forging kitchen knives, sickles, axes, hoes, hatchets and hunting knives since 1920. The workshop relocated to Nimi, Japan in 1951, where it currently resides. Shosui Takeda is a third generation master blacksmith, who with the help of a small team, creates knives that have taken on legendary status.
.
Ask anyone who owns a Takeda, they will tell you their knife performs on a different level than the rest. Forged from high-end knife steel known as Aogami super, Takeda san's knives are hammered super thin and have a kurouchi finish. They are done entirely by hand without the aid of templates, so every knife is different. Aogami super (Blue Steel) is a carbon steel that requires a certain level of care, that when respected, will treat you well with high performance cutting for years.
.
Each knife is fitted with an octagonal stabilized maple handle for superior control, and a lightweight feel. They also feature a stainless tang, unlike carbon knives of the past where the tang was more susceptible to rusting.
*PLEASE NOTE WE DO NOT ACCEPT TAKEDA ORDERS FOR MULTIPLES OF ONE KNIFE SHAPE*
