These double-sided (rough & smooth) leather strops are awesome for keeping your blade's edge in check between whetstone sharpening or for use it during the sharpening process. A leather strop is the difference between "sharp" and "HOLY SH&T THAT'S SHARP". If you plan to add compound, we recommend applying to the rough side.
