Shipping and Return Policies
- The Cook's Edge ships worldwide.
- Free shipping for orders over $200 CAD anywhere in Canada or the US.*
- If your order is less than $200 CAD the shipping will be calculated by weight.
- We aim to ship your order within 24-48 hours from the time of purchase, with the exception of Sundays and holidays. All parcels we ship are insured and traceable. All parcels are shipped from our shop in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada.
*Please note that heavy orders such as cutting boards and whetstones are subject to additional shipping charges that will be calculated and quoted upon ordering.
- When shipping to any country outside of Canada or the US we use DHL Express worldwide or UPS Expedited worldwide shipping with a flat rate of $50. The flat rate of $50 is subject to change for orders weighing over 2kg or expensive items requiring additional insurance coverage.
CUSTOMS, DUTIES AND TAXES
- All Canadian residents are subject to 5% GST + PST on all purchases.
- Customers who are ordering internationally are not subject to any Canadian taxes.
- For international deliveries, additional customs and duties charges may be calculated by the destination country. The Cook's Edge is not responsible for any such charges or potential delays in delivery caused by customs clearance.
CANCELLING AN ORDER
Customers who wish to cancel their order have 30 minutes to cancel without being charged a transaction fee. If you wish to cancel your order after the 30 minutes but before your order is shipped, you will be refunded the total amount less any fees we incurred.
LOSS, BREAKAGE OR DISCREPANCIES IN SHIPMENTS
Our goal is to have all of our customers 100% satisfied with their purchase. If there are any issues with your order, please let us know within 48 hours of receiving. The Cook's Edge will not be responsible for any claims made after 48 hours. For breakage resulting from carrier transit, please keep the entirety of original item(s) as well as all packaging and packing materials for future inspection by carrier. If the package is not delivered within expected delivery date, please contact us.

- All items purchased with a discount code or at a discounted price are final sale.
- Products/goods must be returned in their original, undamaged packaging, unused and in absolute perfect condition with original receipt. If the returned items show any sign of use or damage they will not be accepted for return or exchange. If the original packaging is damaged and not in resalable condition the returned items will not be accepted for return or exchange.
- All items returned to The Cook's Edge are done so at the customer's cost. The items must be packaged with absolute care to prevent damage and the package must be fully insured. We require a tracking number so we can follow the parcel.
- Monies/Funds will not be reimbursed until we receive the products and we are fully satisfied with the product's condition. The refund will be the amount paid, less the shipping/handling fees (what we paid for the shipping), PayPal/Shopify fees and any other incurred costs.
- Please ensure the original invoice is included.
- It is the customer's responsibility to state that the item is either being returned or temporarily imported for repair. Not doing so may result in import tariffs and/or brokerage fees.
