SHIPPING AND RETURN POLICY
THE COOK'S EDGE SHIPS WORLDWIDE. FREE SHIPPING FOR ORDERS OVER $150 ANYWHERE IN CANADA OR THE US.
If your order is less than $150, the shipping will be calculated by weight.
We are currently using Canada Post for domestic shipping, and DHL for international shipping. If you have a special request for a carrier please contact us.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING (outside of North America)
When shipping to countries outside of Canada or the US we use DHL Express worldwide shipping with a flat rate of $50. The flat rate of $50 is subject to change for orders over 2kg.

We aim to ship your order within 24-48 hours of the purchase, with the exception of Sundays and holidays. All parcels we send are insured and traceable. All parcels are shipped from Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada.
Any orders crossing international borders can be held by the country’s customs agency and additional charges may incur. These delays and charges are out of our control. International shipments are sent with a commercial invoice for this reason. Customs charges may vary depending on destination and size. The Cook's Edge is not responsible for these charges.
Customs and Duties:
Customs agencies in each country has the right to detain and inspect packages entering the country. When a package is sent to customs, long delays can occur. The delay is beyond our control and The Cook's Edge is not authorized to investigate the status of the package. Duties and taxes may be charged according to the value of the products.
The Cook's Edge Return Policy:
This return policy applies to all items purchased from The Cook's Edge. Before returning any items, please contact us.
Products/goods must be returned in their original undamaged packaging, unused and in absolute perfect condition with original receipt. If knives show any sign of use or damage they will not be accepted for return or exchange. If the original packaging is damaged and not in resell-able condition the item will not be accepted for return or exchange.
All items returned to The Cook's Edge are done so at the customer's cost. The items must be packaged with absolute care to prevent damage and have it fully insured. Please let us know of the tracking number so we can follow the parcel.
For non-Canadian customers doing a return: Please ensure the original invoice is included with a note that reads: CANADIAN GOODS RETURNED. This will allow it to be processed without payment of duty & tax.
Monies/Funds will not be reimbursed until we receive the products and we are fully satisfied with the product's condition. The refund will be the amount paid, less the shipping/handling fees (what we paid for the shipping), PayPal/Shopify fees and any other incurred costs. When returning an order across an international border it is the customer's responsibility to state that the item is either being returned or temporarily imported for repair. Not doing so may result in import tariffs and/or brokerage fees.
Items found to be damaged or used or in less than perfect condition will not be accepted or credited for return or exchange.

DUTIES, TAXES, AND CUSTOMS
All Canadian residents are subject to 5% GST + PST on all purchases. Customers who are ordering internationally are not subject to any Canadian taxes.
For international deliveries, customs and duties charges may be calculated by the destination country. The Cook's Edge is not responsible for any such charges or potential delays in delivery caused by customs clearance.
Loss, Breakage or Discrepancies in Shipments
If there are any issues with your order, please let us know within 48 hours of receiving. The Cook's Edge will not be responsible for any claims made after 48 hours. For breakage resulting from carrier transit, please keep the entirety of original item(s) as well as all packaging and packing materials for future inspection by carrier. If the package is not delivered within expected delivery date, please contact us immediately. In the case of a lost package, only insured packages will be covered for replacement.
Our goal is to have all of our customers be 100% ecstatic with their purchase. That being said, all of our products are carefully inspected when we receive them and prior to shipping and packaged with absolute care to prevent damage in shipping. If you have any problems with your order upon receipt, please contact us within 48 hours of receiving.
