Yu Kurosaki Gekko VG XEOS
Yu Kurosaki began his blacksmithing career in 2002 and has already been awarded the title of master craftsman. In fact, he is the youngest blacksmith working at Takefu Knife Village to earn that recognition. His knives are true works of art, and we couldn't be any more excited to share them with you.
This migaki finished line of knives is dubbed “Gekko” which are said to resemble a moon sparkling at night.
These knives are built with an all new Takefu steel called VG EXOS. This latest variant of the VG family is said to have fine microstructure created by a special melting method that improves wear resistance, strength, and quenching properties.
All knives in this series are fitted with a Teak octagonal handle. This is our favourite shape for a knife handle at The Cook's Edge, it gives excellent control and fits comfortably in the hand of either left or right handers.
